About the Social Justice Network

A collaborative socialist network bringing together individuals and organisations working for social, economic and environmental justice across the UK.

What we are

The Social Justice Network (SJN) is the successor to the Social Justice Party. We are a collaborative network with a socialist objective: bringing together individuals and organisations working for social, economic and environmental justice. Our purpose is to build stronger connections between campaigning groups, community activists and local initiatives, so that knowledge, skills, resources and support can be shared rather than groups working in isolation.

What we do

We encourage cooperation across a wide range of issues — housing rights, poverty and inequality, climate and environmental action, workers' rights, and community wellbeing. By creating opportunities for collaboration, the network aims to strengthen campaigns, amplify voices, and support more effective collective action.

Alongside practical campaigning support, SJN is committed to political and social education. We help people explore how the challenges they experience in everyday life are connected to wider economic and political systems and policies. In doing so, we seek to empower individuals and communities — particularly those who feel excluded or unheard — with greater understanding, confidence, and the ability to take informed action for positive social change.

Our long view

A key aim of SJN is to continue the work undertaken by its predecessor in partnership with other like-minded socialist groups and individuals — helping to unify the UK left, with the long-term goal of building a mass socialist party that represents the interests of the working class.

We are clear-eyed about what that takes. It is not glamorous, and it is not fast. It begins with the unglamorous work of mutual aid, branch organising, political education, and patient solidarity. Everything else follows.

How to engage

There is no single front door. Some people start by joining as members. Some offer skills. Some support a campaign already in motion. Some just read and learn. All of those are valid starting points.

Become a member — three minutes, free, and it matters.

Offer your skills via the volunteer register — legal, comms, design, organising, anything.

Read the political education library and share what you find.

Support a campaign in the Action Hub.

Set up a small regular contribution to keep the network independent.
